Based on research on adult and children's learning, the Mind in the Making Early Learning Modules use innovative ways of teaching adults how young children learn.  By understanding how learning begins, adults are better equipped to care for and provide learning opportunities for infants and young children.  

The Mind in the Making Early Learning Modules are intended for those adults/teachers who teach and care for young children in center or home-based settings.

Teachers are invited on this learning adventure to better understand how young children learn and how teachers of young children can help set the stage for a life-time of engaged learning.

What are the Mind in the Making Learning Modules for Early Childhood Teachers?  The Modules are a 12-part learning process that uses research on children's development - including classic and recent studies - on how children learn and how teachers can encourage engaged learning.

The Modules complement existing early childhood teaching curricula, focusing on what research tells us about early learning and how to use this knowledge in everyday practice.

Each Learning Module includes videos of well-known and well-respected child development researchers or educators showing their research in action, along with a variety of activities that teachers complete individually, with learning partners, and in larger learning groups.

Each Module features written Research summaries, Learning Goals and Outcomes,Tips for teachers, Quotes from researchers and engaging opportunities to practice new skills.
